Indian River State College is excited to launch the Student Alumni & Philanthropy Club, a new organization designed to help students build a lifelong connection to the College while discovering the power of giving back. The club will introduce students to the Alumni Association before they graduate, helping them understand that their relationship with Indian River State College doesn’t end when they receive their diploma—it simply enters a new chapter.
Club members will also serve as ambassadors for philanthropy, helping their fellow students understand the many ways generosity makes a difference across the College. Through service projects, donor appreciation activities, special events and opportunities to connect with alumni, members will see firsthand how gifts of time, talent and treasure support scholarships, programs and opportunities for students.
Most importantly, the Student Alumni & Philanthropy Club will make connection and giving back fun. Members will help build school spirit, celebrate the impact of philanthropy and encourage students to see themselves as future alumni who can continue making a difference long after graduation. It’s about creating a culture where students understand that you don’t have to wait until you graduate—or have a lot to give—to make an impact.
